The room is full as I scan the crowd,
My heart is beating, oh so loud.
There you are, blending right in...
I wave to you as the lights go dim.
I blink my eyes to remove the tears,
I blink again to remove the years.
There you were as a two-year old,
then yet again as a ten-year old.
How can it be,lord,so little time,
from a child to adult, so short a climb?
What a climb it was from day to day!
But here you are, you're on your way.
